2026 International Year of Co-Parenting

After the International Year of the Family in 1994 to remind us that the family is the basic unit of society and therefore deserves special attention,
Following the resolution adopted by the UN General Assembly entitled "A world fit for children" (S-27/2, 6 May 2002) which recognizes the shared responsibility of parents in the education and upbringing of their children, and the importance of making every effort to ensure that fathers have the opportunity to participate in the lives of their children,
In noting a transformation of family patterns in recent decades characterized among other things by an increase in the number of separated families and therefore the risk of disengagement of a parent,
we ask for :
An international year to increase the awareness of the general public and all the elected officials in every nation on the equal importance of the roles of both parents – be they together, separated or divorced – in the upbringing of their child(ren).
A year to create opportunities and find solutions to promote and above all value the commitment of each parent to their children); a year to focus on action and results, by the exchange of good practices.
A year to rethink greater equity (particularly in parenting time) between the two parents in case of separation / divorce in the best interest of the child.
A year to recognize the prime role of each parent and celebrate the commitment of both parents towards their (s) child (ren).
A year to remember that each child has two unique parents - father and mother – with the same rights and responsibilities to provide the best possible living conditions, to give him/her affection, assistance and protection, education, to encourage the development of his/her personality, to transmit values.
In this perspective, regardless of political allegiances, social or religious beliefs, father, mother, grandmother or grandfather, or just a citizen committed to human rights, we ask the General Assembly of the United Nations to declare 2017 : International Year of co-parenting.

STOP THE HEARTBREAK MIAMI-DADE FAMILY COURT JUDGE MANNO-SCHURR

Dear Honorable Chief Judge Bertila Soto,

I am writing to express my deep concern regarding the handling of Mr. David Inguanzo’s case (Case No. 2008-029595-FC17) and the treatment he has received in the courtroom.

I am specifically troubled by the tone and conduct directed toward Mr. Inguanzo by Circuit Court Judge Valerie Manno-Schurr, as reflected in the official court transcripts. Mr. Inguanzo has consistently maintained that he has been the victim of false statements, including a documented false report made by Ms. Nixa Rose to a Miami-Dade Police Officer, an act that constitutes a felony under Florida law. The court’s apparent lack of acknowledgment of these concerns raises serious questions about fairness, impartiality, and due process.

In light of these issues, I respectfully request the following:

  1. That Judge Valerie Manno-Schurr recuse herself from further involvement in Mr. Inguanzo’s proceedings to ensure the integrity and impartiality of the judicial process.

  2. That the Court evaluate her continued role as Presiding Judge of the Family Division, given the gravity of the concerns raised.

  3. That Mr. Inguanzo be immediately reunited with his daughter, Zoraya Inguanzo, through an order restoring normal and reasonable timesharing consistent with Florida law and the child’s best interests.

These requests are made in the hope of restoring confidence in the fairness of the proceedings and ensuring that all parties—especially the child—are treated with justice, dignity, and respect.

Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.

Respectfully submitted,
David Inguanzo

Dad initially (on 12/4/2008) petitioned the court for three things: 1. Pay Child Support  2. Shared Parental Responsibility  and   3. Normal and reasonable Time-sharing. On July 8th, 2010 Dad was granted by Judge Maria Espinosa Dennis: 1.  Child Support   2. Shared Parental Responsibility Judge Dennis stated in the Final Judgment that "Normal and reasonable time-sharing", like the one dad has with his son since 2004 from his divorce, will be granted upon absolute compliance with all items listed in Paragraph number 29 of the Final Judgment.

Dad has been in Family Court compliance since October of 2010.

Judge Manno-Schurr It is in the child's best interests that contact and visits be restored SWIFTLY and FULLY11th Judicial Circuit Family Court - Inguanzo vs. Rose 08-29595 - Began: 10/27/20082012 -

Resumption of Visits ~

It is in the child's best interests that contact and visits with the alienated parent be restored SWIFTLY and FULLY once the suspended contact was determined to be the result of unfounded DV allegations and/or because the alienating parent had unilaterally prevented the contact.

One of the more pernicious and destructive alienating maneuvers is the leveling of false abuse allegations against the targeted parent.

This emotional form of child abuse is by the alienating  by a parent, then the traumatic results are equal to those of children who actually had suffered abused.

Exacerbating the damage, such allegations generally lead to the immediate suspension of all contact between the child and the targeted parent during the ensuing investigation. Not only is contact missed, it allows for the poisoning to continue with no possibility for the antidote of the meaningful contact between the child and the targeted parent. Furthering the damage to the child of the suspended contact, the alienating parent invariably informs the child that she/he has been abandoned by the targeted parent!
Paving the way for the resumption of visits and contact. Oh, really? Not so fast. This rarely happens  because the alienating parent declares to the child's attorney (Liar Greenberg) and to the family court that the child is too afraid to have contact resumed with the targeted parent; and naturally these sentiments are validated by the brainwashed puppet child.

So the attorney for the child and the attorney  for the alienating parent recommend the very slow resumption of contact----generally slower than watching grass grow. Some attorneys for the targeted parent have conveyed to me that this situation places them in a double-blind: if they ask for normal resumption of contact, the judge may deny everything. So frequently, the attorney for the targeted parent has little choice but to agree to the resumption of contact at a snail's pace and sometimes supervised.

The Enabling Unlawful Act

The U.S. Constitution requires all citizens to be treated equally. However, these courts are such a scam they will treat people based on any criteria they like, gender and financial ability being the main criteria. If you have a vagina you start out as the winner and losing takes real effort. However, if you are a woman and make or have more money to pay into the system you may have a real challenge. Bottom line: These courts are a racket optimized to extract money, not dispense justice or law of any kind.

Legislators, judges and lawyers all have HUGE conflicts of interest. They make money by violating your civil rights, writing unconstitutional laws and destroying families every day. These people are criminals and need to be exposed, You must understand these hidden money motives to avoid being abused and to demand your rights.

Children in father-absent environments. WHY?

Local View:

Judges must do more to protect father-child relationships

Opinion

Over the past few decades, research has shown the importance of fathers to their children’s well-being. These studies show children in father-absent environments are almost four times more likely to  live in poverty, are more likely to use drugs and alcohol, have significantly lower educational attainment, and are more likely to be sexually active.

Civil Rights

Children in father-absent environments are also more likely to engage in juvenile delinquency, have higher risk of being victimized by crime including sexual assault and domestic violence, and are more than twice as likely to commit suicide.

Criminal Justice

Of course, kids do better with two parents actively involved in their lives. But,
many people still fail to understand the importance of fathers. According to research by Joan Berlin Kelly, 50% of mothers “see no value in the father’s continued contact with his children after a divorce.”
In light of this alarming statistic, it is perhaps not surprising that a study published by the American Journal of Orthopsychiatry found that “40 percent of mothers report that they had interfered with the noncustodial father’s visitation on at least one occasion, to punish their ex-spouse.”
A recent report by the Federal Administration for Children and Families describes a harmful phenomenon called “maternal gatekeeping,” in which mothers interfere with fathers’ access to their children. According to this report, “more than half of nonresident fathers offered accounts of gatekeeping behavior, ranging from refusing to grant physical access to making frequent last-minute schedule changes.
Gatekeeping also came in more indirect forms, such as refusal to communicate in person or by phone, withholding information from the father about the child, or berating the father.”
Motives for maternal gatekeeping vary. In some cases, mothers use children as a weapon and deny fathers access to their children as a way to punish them. In other cases, mothers use children for financial gain. According to the ACF report, “mothers would sometimes restrict access when a father failed to provide ‘extras’ over and above the required child support.”
It’s remarkable to me that Thompson cites the ACF report. It’s a fairly obscure work about which no one has commented in the mainstream press to my knowledge. I wrote three pieces on it and Thompson’s is the only other piece I know of. Good for her. She’s doing her homework.
