"Fathers targeted and undermined by family court's process"

FATHERS WHO DO THE RIGHT THING

We believe that if we “take the high road” and “do the right thing” by other family members, that the Justice system will recognize that when considering motions and making rulings.  We believe we will be able to get a fair outcome as good parents, and that we will be allowed to provide for and protect our children.
If we are present in our kids’ lives, contributing and working to balance many challenges, we should be recognized for our value, and supported in our roles.
We believe that the professionals will factor in the evidence and truth of our lives, and use everything in their power – within what our laws allow – to help us help our children.
Large numbers of fathers have found that NOT to be the case.
We are alarmed at the number of pending cases in the Atlanta area involving the use of false allegations against good parents.  The fathers we are getting to know are revealing that their attorneys have the evidence needed to defend them and to correct the situation, or to avoid it to begin with, but for some reason are not pursuing balance for these dads.
But guess what?  False allegations are not just something that is used against fathers, which is what we hear so often.  Mothers are being falsely accused as well:  of abusing children, of being violent, and of “alienating” their children when the facts show that it is the other parent – with the help of certain custody experts and attorneys – who is behaving badly.
It is simply more profitable for select professionals to introduce and push false allegations. It doesn’t matter to them which parent gets hurt, or worse, that the kids are suffering in all of these cases.  Damaging children this way ensures future litigation, and makes it easier for these professionals to collect more in fees from the current case.  A good parent falsely accused will be forced to leverage everything they have, including assets from other family members, to deal with the false allegations and to help their children cope.
My Advocate Center does publish much on damages to children, where mothers are the targeted or damaged parent, but the reality is this:
  • Fathers who are good to their children & who want to do the right thing are JUST as likely to be targeted and undermined by this process – by certain professionals – as are mothers.
  • We serve as many fathers as we do mothers, because our mission is about helping children access the best that BOTH parents have to offer.
  • Regardless of whether the mother or the father is put at a disadvantage & penalized for standing up for their kids and their rights, the kids are always harmed.
  • False allegations are now commonly enabled, and used by certain attorneys and custody experts to increase their profits, and more and more fathers are disadvantaged and damaged this way.
  • This is something that men often do not see coming.  Once they realize what is happening, it is too late, but no one fore-warned them how to protect against it.
  • Dysfunctional” comes in all shapes and sizes, as does vindictiveness, addiction & the ill-natured use of children as pawns.  We work to help good parents overcome challenges presented in high-conflict situations, and that includes helping good men stay in the lives of their children.
Case studies will be published showing how too many fathers are being set up to fail in child custody disputes.  Our case studies will also dispel some myths about which parent is likely to lose the most.

Our Executive Director, Deb Beacham, spoke on this in January and will enlist more professionals and parents in the debate starting this Spring.

False DV Accusation "Insurance Policy"

FALSE ACCUSATION INSURANCE POLICY

Originally published 10-5-2000

Considering that almost EVERY PROFESSIONAL is now cited as a "Mandated Reporter", we are at the point of wondering: "Who can you trust?"

Faced with the DEFINITE POSSIBILITY of a FALSE ALLEGATION OF ABUSE, are parents going to be FORCED to quit taking their children to the doctor? But then if you don't, the CPS is ready for you with a charge of SEVERE MEDICAL NEGLECT.

With these very real hazards, and their life-destroying potential, I wonder when some creative insurance company will come up with "Abuse-Neglect Allegation Insurance".

I would buy it, wouldn't you?

But realistically, NO INSURANCE COMPANY IN AMERICA TODAY would underwrite it, OR more importantly, few families could afford it.

According to my calculations, the premium would have to be AT LEAST $166 per month PER CHILD, given the current statistical 1 child in 25 kidnapped by CPS per year at a cost of $50,000 per defense.

Or just for the sake of figures, $166 per month into a COLLEGE FUND, for 18 years would yield $35,856 PRINCIPAL, plus $22,106 compounded interest at 5% per annum, for a total of $57,962.

Well, WHY worry about college if the Government has a far, far better place for your children than being in YOUR FAMILY? This is a good thing, isn't it?

You don't have to worry about them when they're sick. You don't have to worry about the cost of insurance. You don't need a nice, big house (they're all being lived in by "old money" widows anyhow). Momma doesn't have to plan birthday parties and bake cookies. You don't have to make their "owies" better. You don't have to make them take baths, clean up their room or wash their clothes (a washing machine would last a lifetime without kids). You can have fragile, breakable, beautiful things around the house. You don't have to help them with their home work. You don't have to put up with the house full of "slumber party" girls giggling all night long. You don't have to take them on vacations to the beach or Disneyland. You don't have to worry about the kinds of kids they hang out with. You don't have to fret with them over college or career choices. You don't have to worry about the kind of mate they choose.

The Government can make sure they all grow up Politically Correct and everybody is Grey.

All parents are just "potential abusers" anyway. You don't want to be a "potential abuser" do you?

You don't have to do anything but make 'em and the Government will raise them for you, and do a pretty darn good job of it, if they have to say so for themselves (in spite of the statistics). They can just play and "be kids" until they turn 18. When they turn 18, the government sends them on their way-
"Have a nice life now. Hope it works out for you. Sorry about the one hundred and four foster homes. Sure hope therapy has helped you get over the twelve rapes you suffered and three kids you saw killed in foster care. Oh by the way, we neglected to teach you any real life skills. Don't call us".

I am not a lawyer and I do not pretend to give legal advice. If you need legal advice, see AFRA's Lawyer Friends who certainly are not pretenders (http://familyrights.us/info/law) I merely relate the things I learned in the past that seemed to work in my own case or things that others have related to me that worked in their cases. I provide information for free and do not expect to receive any form of payment or reward on this side of heaven. Therefore, DO NOT rely on this information as legal advice. Real Legal advice would come from a real lawyer who hates CPS and prepares a VIGOROUS DEFENSE against a negative (proving nothing happened) instead of talking you into a plea bargain (http://familyrights.us/bin/The_Problem_with_Plea_Bargaining.htm)

Finally I am releasing my documentary DVI The Inside Story for public viewing. I hope all of you enjoy the film. I will begin production of my next film (untitled) in September, which will contain shocking footage from inside a County Clerk's Office and Batterer's Intervention Programs. I'll keep you posted.

VAWA is unconstitutional - VAWA is in violation of human rightsVAWA is destructive to families

VAWA puts government funds and other (dangerous) resources in the hands of private (non-profit) organizations staffed with very sick individuals.

VAWA does not address the issue it was meant to address, i.e. to reduce domestic violence, it does not offer a solution, it does not resolve or improve anything and it only aggravates the problem (e.g. after visiting a shelter and accusing her husband, the woman must hide for the rest of her life).

VAWA causes innocent citizens to lose respect for the federal government and the legal system. 1. The law (VAWA), the courts and police in domestic situations only help women and assume that men are always the perpetrators. 2. The government is funding the propaganda that women are victims and men are perpetrators, as well as false accusations against men and prosecutions (persecution) of innocent men. 3. In no time is there an investigation, an interrogation or diagnosis to determine who the real victim is and who the abuser is.

The woman gets a shelter, pro-bono legal help to get her a protective order and to accuse (falsely in many cases) the man, and if she is an immigrant also legal help to file a VAWA self-petition for a Green-Card. 4. The man is removed from his home, gets arrested, accused (falsely), prosecuted, jailed and as a consequence he loses his job, becomes unemployable and his life is totally ruined. All the above happens without any legal due process, without investigation, interrogation, questioning or verification.

Can you imagine anything more destructive to society than the Government funding false accusations and incrimination of innocent citizens!
